How do I register?

To secure your spot on this exclusive tour, please email molly@johnshorstravel.com. Spaces are limited, and we expect the tour to fill quickly. A $2,000 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your reservation.

How do I arrange my travel?

Guests are responsible for booking their own flights to Tokyo, Japan. The tour officially begins on September 20, 2026, but many guests choose to arrive a day early to relax and acclimate. If you’d like to do the same, we recommend booking your flight to arrive in Tokyo on September 19, 2026. For departure, your return flight should be scheduled from Osaka on September 29, 2026. Osaka’s airport is easily accessible by train, and we will take a train from our hotel to the airport. If you have any questions regarding flights, please feel free to reach out to Molly.

What are the room options and pricing?

Pricing varies based on room occupancy:

• $9,245 per person (double occupancy)
• $11,245 per person (single occupancy)

What is included in the tour price?

The tour package includes:

• Accommodations at two five-star hotels and one four-star hotel in Kyoto
• All transportation within Japan (including trains and private transfers)
• All meals throughout the tour
• Non-alcoholic beverages with meals
• Entry fees for guided tours, cultural sites, and attractions
• Exclusive excursions (museums, cultural experiences, guided tours, etc.)
• All gratuities and tips

What is not included?

• Airfare to Tokyo and return flight from Osaka
• Alcoholic beverages
• Optional activities during free time (e.g., golf, spa, etc.)
• Hotel incidentals (e.g., room service, minibar, phone charges, laundry)
• Additional costs for arriving early in Tokyo or departing late from Osaka

Do you provide travel insurance?

While travel insurance is not required, we strongly recommend it to protect your trip investment in case of unforeseen circumstances. Typically, travel insurance must be purchased within two weeks of making your deposit. You can obtain a quick quote from our trusted travel insurance provider here. Our partnership with the company allows us to assist with any claims if needed.

What if I need to cancel my trip?

If you need to cancel, please email molly@johnshorstravel.com as soon as possible. We highly recommend travel insurance, particularly a Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) policy, which allows you to cancel for reasons not typically covered by standard travel insurance—and still receive partial reimbursement.

Cancellation Policy:

• More than 90 days before departure – $2,000 penalty (loss of deposit)
• 59–30 days before departure – 75% penalty (based on total trip cost)
• 29–10 days before departure – 90% penalty (based on total trip cost)
• 9 days or fewer before departure – 100% penalty (no refund)

When is the final payment due?

The final balance is due 60 days before the tour begins.
