Richard L. Grant Octagonal Fountain Courtyard

Named Gardens

Richard L. Grant Octagonal Fountain Courtyard

Mrs. Elisabeth W. Grant donated a gift in the name of her husband Richard Leslie Grant to update the Octagonal Fountain Courtyard, located at the northern terminus of the DeGolyer Magnolia Allee. The octagonal shape is reflective of the ceiling molding in the DeGolyer residence and the Spanish Renaissance design.  The Courtyard provides more seating and provides a starting point to explore the four gardens that surround it – Nancy Rutchik Red Maple Rill to the north, the Nancy Seay Magnolia Glade to the east, the Inesperado Boswell Garden to the west and the DeGolyer Magnolia Allee to the south.
