Join Scott Williams, owner of Visual Impressions Inc, as he builds your confidence and introduces you to what it takes to make a great photo. Williams will show you what you need to know to begin mastering the operations of your SLR (single-lens reflex) camera. This class, is aimed at beginning photographers. Space is limited.

Want to get away and immerse yourself in a stunning floral landscape while expanding your photography skills? Then pack your camera bag and get ready to head into the Brenham, Texas countryside with master photographer and former Senior Photography Editor for Southern Living, Allen Rokach, as he takes you on location April 3-6. Whether you’re an experienced shutterbug or just getting your feet wet, Rokach will show you how to capture the spectacle of color as bluebonnets, Indian paintbrush and other wildflowers come into bloom. During field sessions you will receive in depth instruction on making the best use of natural light throughout the day. During review sessions, Rokach will emphasize fundamental techniques to create great photos in your camera as well as simple retouching techniques to help make your good pictures look great. You will have the opportunity to photograph at spectacular private locations not open to the public. Supply list and schedule available online. Space is limited.

This beginner-friendly class invites exploration and experimentation – two things that make for exciting photography. During this workshop you’ll learn the basics in historical photography processes. Join Rachel Rushing, from Oil & Cotton, for an afternoon of exploration. Leave the garden with an archival, handmade specimen book for collecting your flora, swatches and recipes for creating your own anthotypes, and a beautiful, finished lumen print to display at home.
