Dallas,

- In an effort to address the concerns of prices at family venues, the Dallas
Arboretum and Botanical Garden is reducing all of its admission prices on
weekdays in August to one dollar per person, with admission returning to its
normal pricing structure in September.
"With regular tickets priced normally eight dollars for adults, this significant savings at all price levels will hopefully encourage families to take a last summer excursion together," stated Mary Brinegar, President of the botanical garden located at 8525 Garland Road, on the shores of White Rock Lake.
"The cool breezes off
the lake and the many inviting, shady paths throughout the gardens make this the
perfect time to enjoy and explore our sixty-six acre property. You can view
vibrant displays of tropical plants, crape myrtles, roses and annual bedding
plants including, impatiens, begonias, lantanas, and zinnias, all at their
peak." said Dave Forehand, Vice-President of Gardens at The Dallas Arboretum.
