Graphics Intern
Our Graphics Department is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill an unpaid intern graphics production artist position. Applicants should have a good eye for design and a working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Our internship program provides meaningful and challenging projects such as production skills to build press ready files and provides the opportunity to work on well-known publishing projects (magazines, newspapers & web design). Responsibilities include assisting the graphics designer in creating layouts for ads, newsletters, signs and other different projects, editing digital images, performing simple art direction, compositing images and creating basic artwork. While the intern will have some creative freedom, they must still follow the Arboretum's style guide and be consistent in the look of ads, newsletters, website and all print and digital media.
Candidates will have at least Sophmore status and be working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts with emphasis in Graphic Design, Interactive Media Design, Advertising or related degree.
Please submit your letter of interest via email and include your availability to work to: arearick@dallasarboretum.org
