Why does the website
look funny on my computer?
With the variety of Internet browsers today it is
difficult to design for all of them, so we have optimized the website
for Microsoft Internet Explorer, other web programs such as Netscape,
Firefox and AOL browser may not display the website properly.
What are your hours?
The garden is open from 9am to 5 pm seven
days a week, however, we are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
and New Years Day.
Where are you located?
The Dallas Arboretum is located at 8525
Garland Road Dallas, Texas 75218. The gardens are in east Dallas on the
southeast side of White Rock Lake.
What do you charge for entrance?
$10.00 for each adult $9.00 for
senior citizens 65 years and up $7.00 for children 3 to 12 years of
age $7.00 per car parking Members and children 2 years and
younger are free of charge
Can we bring a picnic?
Guests are welcome to bring outside food,
picnics, coolers, glass containers, adult beverages and picnic blankets.
Do you have wheel
chairs? The
Arboretum has wheel chairs available free of charge, first come first
served at the information booth. They can not be reserved.
We also have a tram that is a
six person golf cart driven by a volunteer. The tram follows a path back
and forth in the center of the garden. It is free of charge. Elderly
guests and those who are mobility impaired are welcome to get on and off
as they desire.
Do you allow dogs?
The Arboretum prohibits all pets in the
garden. We welcome all service dogs for the handicapped.
May I take pictures in the
garden? You may
take pictures of the garden and family photos in the garden. Those
photos include children, family, engagement, bridal, quincineta, and
engagement. All photos must be taken out in the garden, not inside the
houses or around the business offices.
All parties must pay admission and come fully
dressed. Changing clothes in the bathrooms or garden is prohibited.
Guests may use
professional photographers and the photographers must pay admission.
What is commercial photography?
Commercial Photography includes all media
such as TV, film production, retail catalogs and modeling shoots.
This type of photography
requires additional fees and advanced reservation. More information can
be obtained by calling the Rental
Department at 214-515-6510.
What is in bloom now? How does
the gardens look?
The gardens are in bloom year around. Color and
varieties change each season.
Do you have a restaurant in the
garden? Do I need a reservation?
We have two dining areas in the garden. Menus,
prices and hours are on our webpage at

Reservations are not needed. More formal Tea
service is offered during the year and does require reservations.
Do
you have children’s strollers for rent?
Guests are welcome to bring children’s
strollers into the garden. We ask that no strollers be brought into the
DeGolyer House or the gift shop. We do not rent them; however, we do
have children’s wagons available for rent. The fee is $5 each. We do not
permit tricycles, bikes, rollerblades, , etc |
